J. Crew retires plum-color coat worn by Malia Obama

If you were hoping to score Malia Obama's J. Crew coat, you're plum out of luck.

While the "lady day" style, which has been in the company's lineup for years, will still be available, the bright color Malia wore to her father's Inauguration is being retired in honor of the First Daughter.

Ditto the glittery J. Crew belt (a sash from the wedding collection) Michelle Obama paired with a Thom Browne coat on Inauguration Day.

No word from Kate Spade about the availability of the purple coat that Sasha Obama sported.
