Music: Sammy Kershaw: Promo video + She don't know ...

I knew some of his songs but never knew the musician's name — Sammy Kershaw — coud that guy be a relative of Doug Kershaw, by any chance?   I thawt I heard some of Doug's intonations and vocal textures in Sammy's voice.  Both are from Louisiana, Doug Kershaw still being active at 76.  Wikipedia:

At the age of eleven, Sammy received his first guitar, a gift from his grandfather. However, his father died that same year. Thereafter young Kershaw worked a variety of jobs by day while playing roadhouses at night to support his family. 

"He began performing in Acadiana with Louisiana legend J.B. Pere. Subsequently, he opened shows for Ray Price, Merle Haggardand George Jones while barely into his teens. When the pressures of growing up fast took their toll in the form of a serious drugand alcohol problem, he quit his bad habits in 1988 and took a break from music to work as a remodeling supervisor at Wal-Mart.^[2]

Sammy Kershaw and his band are sore but not seriously injured following a bus accident in Texas Friday night. The accident happened following a show in Nocona when another vehicle struck the bus at high speed, causing major damage. The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital with injuries.

“My guys and I are a little sore today… the third day is always the worst,” Sammy said. “Eleven people were involved in the accident and no one was killed. It could have gone the other way. Buses and cars can be replaced but people can’t. I’m so thankful that the other driver, my band and crew are all still here. We had a guardian angel.”

Sammy has not canceled any scheduled tour dates following the accident. Though his bus was left in need of major repairs, he has arranged alternate transportation for himself and his band until the bus is rolling again."
