A number of brands and celebrities found out this year that all it takes is one slip-up to quickly turn their social media fans into foes. Among this year's biggest blunders: then-U.S. Rep. Anthony Weiner's ill-advised tweets, Gilbert Gottfried's post-tsunami jokes and Kenneth Cole's overreach on tying its products to the "Arab Spring" uprisings.
